I found a robot costume

Walking to a neighbor's holiday party one evening, I came across a robot costume in the parking lot of a gas station. It was love at first sight. I wanted, nay, needed that robot costume. But such a work of art must have an owner nearby, because surely no one would leave this precious treasure unattended for very long. But my roommate told me she had seen it there hours earlier in the exact same spot.

I decided that whoever made it could not bear the thought of throwing it away, so s/he left it in a parking lot hoping it would find a good home. It did. It is mine. We plan to have many adventures together.
